Born in Moscow, into a musical family, graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky conservatory. From 1992 lives in Germany. Elena Kuschnerova released about 20 CDs and other recordings. Alexander Lokshin (1920-1987), great Russian composer, wrote a variation cycle for her. Also Mikhail Kollontay (born 1952) and Sigfried Matthus (1934-2021) wrote piano concertos for her.
